On April 18, 2024, our talented SS4Kids interns organized and hosted a presentation about SS4Kids for students, professionals, and others. Led by Andrea Chavez and Lydia Runyambo, our interns worked to spread awareness about SS4Kids to showcase how professionals could use our game their fields.
Aligning with National Autism Awareness Month and a unit on speech disorders, Dr. Misha Becker invited Andrea and Lydia to share about SS4Kids’ services and opportunities to join their mission. They informed students, consisting of aspiring speech-language pathologists and linguists, about SS4Kids’ online language program. This program, supported by a team of therapists, teachers, parents, and caregivers, aims to aid children struggling with delayed speech development.
The presentation held significance as SS4Kids seeks driven individuals passionate about helping children. By raising awareness among future speech-language professionals, Andrea and Lydia hoped to inspire commitment to improving language acquisition resources for children in need. Their enlightening talk allowed attendees to learn about contributing skills and dedication to this impactful organization.
Congratulations to our interns for this successful, informative event!
