California-Based iQsonics Wins Prestigious Tools Competition Award for Sing and Speak 4 Kids’ “Make Your Own Song” Feature; Meets with Senator Adam Schiff’s Office on Expanding Impact for Children with Speech Delays

Santa Monica, CA — iQsonics LLC, creator of the groundbreaking early childhood speech-language platform Sing and Speak 4 Kids (SS4Kids), is proud to announce its receipt of the Tools Competition Award in the Accelerating K-12 Learning Track for its innovative “Make Your Own Song” (MYOS) feature. This recognition places iQsonics at the forefront of educational technology, celebrating its unique blend of music, AI, and neuroscience to support children aged 2–8, including those with autism, speech delays, and multilingual learning needs.

The Tools Competition award recognizes transformative tools accelerating learning outcomes worldwide. MYOS stood out by empowering young learners to create personalized songs by selecting words and images integrated into AI-assisted, lip-synced performances. This User-Generated Content (UGC) approach improves speech, vocabulary, and social communication while fostering creativity and self-expression. Research shows MYOS’s potential to dramatically increase motivation, engagement, and measurable speech gains in children compared to traditional interventions.

In a recent virtual meeting with the office of U.S. Senator Adam Schiff and his legislative correspondent Molly Sulzer, the iQsonics team presented MYOS and discussed the critical shortage of accessible, affordable speech-language services faced by California’s families. Senator Schiff’s office expressed enthusiasm for SS4Kids’ innovative approach and encouraged the team to share stories that could be amplified through social media and policy discussions to uplift impacted communities.

“We’re grateful for Senator Schiff’s team taking the time to hear about our work,” said David Sonnenschein, CEO of iQsonics. “The encouragement to connect our mission with current federal and state priorities for technology, education, and inclusion is invaluable. We’re hopeful to collaborate on reaching more children in need and addressing the systemic gaps in speech therapy services.”

During the meeting, the SS4Kids team highlighted key facts:

  • Shortage of Services: Families face waitlists of 6-12 months for professional speech therapy, leaving critical developmental windows unsupported.
  • Evidence-Based Impact: SS4Kids and MYOS have demonstrated 4x faster speech gains in clinical trials compared to standard therapy approaches.
  • Access and Equity: By delivering digital, gamified, music-based learning on any device, SS4Kids is helping bridge disparities in access for underserved, rural, and multilingual communities.

SS4Kids team also requested support in spreading awareness among California families, schools, and clinics, as well as guidance on engaging additional local and federal leaders.

The MYOS feature—patent pending—marks a new chapter in early childhood learning. While SS4Kids remains a trusted solution for children with speech delays, MYOS has the potential to reach millions of typical learners globally, positioning iQsonics to compete in the general edtech market alongside industry leaders like Duolingo and ABCmouse.
